7 Ways To Bring The Magic Of Disney Into Your Home

If you are like me, you're missing the Disney Parks. Whether you don't feel comfortable going due to the virus, you just got home from a trip, or can't afford to visit at the moment, we've got some solutions for you. Here are seven ways you can bring the magic of Disney into your home when you can't go to the parks!

Have A Disney Movie Marathon

What better way to enjoy Disney than watching the films and cartoons that caused us to fall in love with Disney in the first place? Gather your friends and family around and make use of that Disney+ subscription you have! You can make things extra fun by providing your audience with some fun Disney snacks and encouraging everyone to wear their Mickey ears. If you have the capability, consider an outdoor movie night, so you can invite more people and stay safely socially distanced.

Host A Disney Craft Night

There are so many fun, easy Disney craft ideas out there. You can get ready for your next trip to the parks by making your own Disney ears. Creating them at home gives you a chance to customize them that you wouldn't have in the parks. Some other fun and easy craft ideas for the family include making your own Disney canvas painting, creating some handy-dandy Disney parks' maps coasters, or finally putting that scrapbook together of your last Disney vacay.

Make Your Favorite Disney Treats

Let's be real here. The food at Disney is half the reason we go and the snacks are better than the meals. Surprisingly, there are lots of easy recipes online that can teach you how to make your favorite snacks at home. Here are some of our favorites to get you started.

Play Disney Trivia

Disney has put out a few official games with Trivial Pursuit, but you don't need a fancy game board to play Disney Trivia. Just search up some fun Disney facts and quiz your family and friends. It's always fun to make things a competition especially if the prize was, say, a homemade mickey pretzel.

Re-Create Your Favorite Ride At Home

If you haven't seen this viral video yet, it's a must-see! This family re-created the entire Pirates of the Caribbean ride in their own house. How much fun is that? While you certainly don't have to make it your ride recreation as elaborate as they did or post it on YouTube, I'm sure your little ones would love to create an It's a Small World set-up with their dolls or pretend to be on the Jungle Cruise in your backyard.

Have A Disney Dance Party

Disney music is the best music! Am I right? There are so many Disney dance tutorials online that are super fun for kids and adults alike to dance along to. Of course, there is nothing wrong with just freestyling to your favorite Disney playlist as well!

Read Some Magical Literature

Believe it or not, there are so many Disney-themed books out there to read and not just children's books either. If you visit https://books.disney.com/, you can discover stories, biographies, cookbooks, and nonfiction literature for every reading level from age zero to adult. Recently, I read a biography on Walt Disney and I was obsessed. There is so much I didn't know about him and his story. I would highly recommend checking out Walt Disney: An American Original. Some other fun reads Disney fanatics will enjoy include:

The Hidden Mickeys of Walt Disney World

One Day at Disney

Birnbaum’s 2020 Walt Disney World

A Walk in the Wood: Meditations on Mindfulness with a Bear Named Pooh

We hope you enjoyed this list of ways you can bring the magic of Disney into your home. Let us know how you like to celebrate 'the Disney way' in the comments below!
