Release Date Set For The Mandalorian Season Two
Disney announced season two of The Mandalorian will starting streaming on October 30, 2020. As per last season, the show will be exclusive to Disney+.
Jon Favreau confirmed the production of season two during November of 2019, just a day after the first episode of the Mandolorian became available on Disney's streaming platform, with a picture from the set he posted on Instagram.
Actress Gina Carano, who plays Cara Dune in the series, let everyone know production was finished in March 2020 with this IG post in which she revealed her love for story and cast.
It's safe to assume that the post-production team at Lucasfilm and Disney was working hard the last few months amidst the pandemic to get this series up and running for fans across the world by the fall.
If season two is anything like season two, it's sure to be a smashing success. Most of the major cast members from season one are set to return. Additionally, Temuera Morrison will be playing Boba Fett in this next season. This is the first time we're going to see a character from the original trilogy cross-over onto The Mandalorian, so it will be interesting to find out what fans think of this.
According to Variety, the pre-production of season three of The Mandalorian began in April. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot of Baby Yoda in the future!
